Nursery

Year-Round Nursery Provision

We are excited to announce that our outstanding Nursery is open for 51 weeks of the year.

Nursery

Nestled in the beautiful grounds of Stroud School is our bespoke Nursery setting. Our Nursery is a magical and special place, filled with joy and fun. Our youngest children play, learn and develop in our well-resourced indoor area which flows out to a covered outdoor classroom. These areas enable our children to explore and discover in their preferred environment. Whether your child thrives in the classroom, or outside, we cater for both these preferences. Many of our children are adventurous and prefer to learn outdoors. Therefore, we ensure there are many opportunities to learn and develop outside of the classroom and have a dedicated Outdoor Learning Assistant to reflect this desire.

Our outdoor classroom leads onto our extensive and exciting playground area. This gives our children the freedom and space to run and play. They can ride bikes, dig in our sand pit, climb our climbing wall and make mud pies.

Little Meadow

We opened our Little Meadow area in September 2023. This is a pocket of wonderful nature on our doorstep, surrounded by glorious countryside. This wild space gives our children the opportunity to immerse themselves in nature and wildlife, grow vegetables and harvest apples from our orchard.

Our sustainably built Meadow Lodge in our Little Meadow area provides a hide to watch birds and other wildlife and offers a space to reflect. Little Meadow is surrounded by our farm. Our children love to visit our ponies, goats and chickens, learning to feed and care for them.

Along with our incredible environment, our dedicated team of staff are renowned for their exceptional care and support of the children. Our qualified Early Years teacher carefully manages the learning and progression of all our Nursery children and teaches early literacy and maths skills. This enables all of our children to flourish and have the best possible start to their learning journey. The transition into our Reception year is seamless; the children have already formed relationships with our staff and are settled and happy in the environment.
