Stroud School Association

The Stroud School Association (SSA) is a committee of parents and teachers working together with the aims of:

  1. Organising social events for the children, parents and staff to help build the strong community and friendships that make Stroud the special place it is.
  2. Raising money to help fund educational enhancements; adding value to the children’s education over and above the academic and sporting activities they engage in at the school.
  3. Helping the children to raise money for their chosen charities.

Recent fundraising has allowed us to donate money to the school for new play equipment in Early Years, an Observation Bee Hive and recycling bins. Our 90th Anniversary Ball raised £15,000 to fund a Science Trail.

Our regular events include:

  • Summer Fayre
  • Christmas Fayre
  • Champagne Supper
  • Nativity DVDs
  • Curry and Comedy Evening
  • Easter Egg Hunt
  • Highwood Hoedown

We always welcome parents (and new committee members) at our AGM held each Autumn term, and always appreciate the help given by our parents to organise and run our events. Please contact your year rep or any of the SSA committee via the details displayed on the school notice boards.
