Co-Curricular at Stroud

At Stroud we believe that ‘school’ should be so much more than academic lessons in a classroom and we are hugely proud of our co-curricular provision. Across our school, our children are offered a fantastic selection of clubs to see them through the Spring, Summer and Autumn terms.

Our Stroud children have more than 70 co-curricular activities to choose from. These, all led by volunteer Stroud teachers and outside agency staff, offer an array of exciting subjects and sporting opportunities: from Cooking to Yoga Club, from Ballet to Adventure Club and from Snorkelling to ComputerXplorers.

We run a fantastic range of trips and encourage children to take part in outside learning including Forest and Beach School programmes.

After school clubs are incredibly important for our children as they allow them to enjoy socialising with friends, or make new friends in an informal, relaxed setting, learn new skills and experience something they may never have tried before in a safe environment. Clubs continue to go from strength to strength at Stroud. It is wonderful to see the children gaining new experiences and trying out a hobby for the very first time that perhaps, and hopefully, will stay with them for a lifetime.

The range on offer is extensive but includes Gymnastics, Cricket, Book Club, German, Swimming, Drama, Classics, Choir, Dance, Cookery, Debating, Art and Ultimate Frisbee, amongst many others.
